My headphones suck when I play CS with them.
I can't figure out the directions of sounds at all, because both speakers seem to produce same sounds.
This is not the problem with my desktop speakers. They produce proper stereo sounds and I can distinguish the directions of sounds.
Why is there such a difference in both device outputs?
Any way to fix this (software fix or hardware-tweaking)?
I can't buy new headsets right now.

Are the headphone plugs plugged in all the way? I've had it before where my headphone plug came loose and for whatever reason started both playing the same audio channel (left, I think).

If they're USB headphones, I have no idea.

You may want to check out what the sound settings are set to in CS and see if they're set to 2 Speaker (or Headphones if that's a separate option; I'm at work right now and can't check).

No, it has a 3.1mm jack, not USB.

It's definitely a hardware issue not a CS issue, because the audio in songs is also very flat, single-channeled.
I pulled the plug out and tried to insert it to different depths in the port but it doesn't help.

Test another headphone and check yours in a different PC. Try plugging the headphone in the jack which your speakers are connected to as they are working fine, maybe your headphone jack is busted.
