Alot of people are trying to disable motd so ads cant play. Is there a way to make it so even if they have motd turned off it will force it. I want to know if there is a way to do this without the plugin that kicks them if they have it turned off

you should not force anything on to client's even tho that is what keep's a server alive, consider ad's with no sound my opinion if i hear ads on a server with sound i disable motd.

Depending on the game you can do a ClientCommand

but if the game has a client convar called cl_restrict_server_commands 1 = allow server to do stuff
cl_restrict_server_commands 0 = stop anything the server try's to do, you can not do anything about it.

but really i'm glad valve put that in to stop malicious servers from doing bad things.

well i dont want to use a plugin that kicks people if they have it turned off. I just dont want people disabling them. Would you know a plugin that tells me what people have the command turned on or off the cl_disablemotd command

then don't use a plugin to kick people O.o, it's a client's choice wether to have it on or off.

not sure about a plugin that will query the cvar. do a search for threads or posts

Is there such plugin that tells us what people have it turned on or off ?

Clients can easily mute steam webhelper and not hear ads while still supporting the server, I think it's a good alternative!
