I'm currently looking through boss configs and I noticed that most of the configs have normal slashes "/" for TF2 default stuff and backslashes "\" for custom stuff.

Should it be used always like this or does it make no difference?

I remember there was an aplication for windows that would let you select multiple files -> right click -> copy paths (something like this) and people would paste these paths in the configs. This would explain the backslash paths for me.

It shouldnt matter for keyvakues, but forward skashes are better. Backslashes are used for escape charactrs in strings. Also make sure there are no quotes in strings... Some early ff2 bosses released had quotes in the boss description that messed up kv parsing...

so this should be avoided ?:
Code:
"Demopan:\n''Stout Shako for 2 refined!''\nSuper Jump: alt-fire, look up and stand up."
Code:
"Seeldier:\n''See!''\nSuper Jump: alt-fire, look up and stand up."

\n is newline, it breaks the line/sends a hard return, you want this to do carriage return
