I was wondering(since it's not clearly stated anywhere here), if i'm able to change my server IP from the internal(LAN) IP to the external IP, so people can access my server from the friends list etc. instead of using the console(connect xx.xx.xxx.xx:27015)?

I mean in which other way can people connect via the "internet" tab in the servers interface? Since they will need my external IP to connect, they'll get an error message saying "Server not responding". If I can't change it or fix it in some way, it means only my friends can join the server? doesn't it?

Portforward. LAN IP is the IP assigned to you by your router. You also have an external IP, and thats your Internet IP. Once your port forward, your server IP will use your internet IP because you allowed it to access the ports needed.

I've done portforwarding, could it be something else? Everybody just says: "copy your IP from whatsmyip.com and tell ur friends to connect to it + :27015". I can't find anything about how to make the server visible for others and joinable through friends...

What about getting other people to the server? It will not appear in the internet tab, and therefore I can't expect anyone else to join besides my friends, or can i get this fixed aswell?

If it doesn't appear on the internet tab than its not on the internet, so no one can connect to it.

Search around, it has been answered many times. One way to allow people to join through friends is for you to join the server using your external IP.
