hi im sammy from 40calgames
i have 8 servers in my serverlist.ini
when i type /server all my servers show as down. how can i fix this?

Please post the output of "amxx plugins" into the serverconsole.
If you are running 1.0 stable version then you should update to the new beta as this supports the new protokoll version 48.
Or, if you don't want to change this, set "redirect_check_method 0" instead of 1 or 2

im afraid i dont quite understand what you mean?
however, the /server menu does appear and i am able to redirect to my other servers, but all the servers show as down except the server i am in.

if i am in server #8 here is what the menu looks like!

your plug-in is outdated. there was a warning written with highlighted text right above the download links that told you version 1.0 is not able to query servers anymore since a recent HLDS update valve released and you got to use the beta version.
now that beta version has become a stable and the text was removed, so just go to the main thread again and download version 1.0.3 of the plug-in and it should work fine.

and your server names are quite long. as soon as you got the new version and map and player information is included in the menu it will probably be cut at the end, because there is an overall menu length limitation of such ingame menues. so if you notice that text is missing in the menu shorten your server names.

sorry but i do not see the new 1.0.3 version to download.
i did see the beta version and gave it a shot, however, now when the /server menu comes up, i click a server and it says "protocol mismatch/different mod"
did i download the wrong version?

well, then you obviously just found a bug in the 1.0.4 beta version, thanks for testing the new feature that tries to detect when the mod of a server differs.

but in the end i recommended you to download version 1.0.3, right? you download it by simply clicking on "Get Plugin" of the xredirect.sma file, so the stable version.

on the other hand, would you mind to try a new beta version for me? i will append it here, give me some minutes.

[EDIT] here it is. it will display a message in your amxx log (/addons/amxmodx/logs/, find the newest file here and open with text editor) or you can also read it directly in the server console (use the commands Mordekay mentioned earlier to redirect the log output to your console). the message will look like this:

mod comparison: local mod "modname" differs from remote mod "modname"

please test this new plug-in file and copy that line for me so i can see why xREDIRECT thinks the mod differs.

i'm afraid i can't support plug-ins by others, i got pretty much to do with xREDIRECT already.
but on the other hand why is it so bad? you actually talk to the developer, i have been actively supporting xREDIRECT for more than 2 years and if you think something is missing that the other plug-in had - why don't you just ask me to integrate it into xREDIRECT?

about your issue: thanks for testing already, so the remote mod is not detected. i can probably test this against your servers from here and don't need further tests from you.

so now just go to the main page again and download the stable version (so the normal xredirect.sma, not the beta one). remember to get the source and recompile with MAX_SERVERFORWARDS 8 when you got 8 servers, well, you already know that as i can see ;)
