That's pretty badass. I support this idea.

I've read thru just about every 265 pages here and I'm running into a slight issue.

Seems when I add servers they are giving Error Connecting. I'm adding two different IP#'s and ports from different parts of the country all tied into the sourcebans directory/installation on my webhost.

Now, I've went into the Remote settings for SQL and set both IP#'s with and without % to ensure they are allowed. I've also contacted the Host to have ports opened on these IP#'s which was done rather quickly of them so that's not the issue. The plugin, scripts etc etc everything is uploaded to each server correctly along with the config changed for each one as in 1 and 2. I've got the database.cfg entries correct as well double checked for correct password, database and username - neither server I've entered is connecting both getting Error Connecting.

Solution?

Try running this testing script linked in the FAQ to debug your problem.

Getting this on #1

Quote:
[+] Trying to establish UDP connection
[+] UDP connection successfull!
[+] Trying to write to the socket
[+] Successfully requested server info. Reading...
[-] Error getting server info.

[+] Trying to establish TCP connection

Getting this on #2

Edit: Ok seems this may be in fact host related, they got one working with some UDP ports opening - waiting on the other as I type.

2nd Edit: Problem solved... host was great and opened up what I needed.

I hate to seem like a nag, but a simple yes or no would suffice

is it on the road map for sourcebans to support an additional native other plugins can use to ban players that have already disconnected from the server?

SBBanPlayer is great for when the player is still in game and connected... but if they TA and then leave, it would be great to provide other plugins a native to use to record the ban in sourcebans

I am curious, I had a look at the updating section on the forum, it isnt very clear. Ads I have made allot of changes to pages on my sourcebans I am wondering what minimal can be uploaded to avoid overwriting these changes.

Ok I run the updater just so I know or anyone else as it's not posted here but it says

Quote:
Checking current database version... 351
Installation up-to-date.
does that mean that 351 is the new version? I've not seen where the old or new numbers in that format is posted saying version number after update is run.
