I used Microsoft Visual Express 2008 C++ to compile the SDK that was on the ModDB website. The compiler is still available on torrent sites and if you look hard on Microsofts site as a legacy unsupported program.
I used the other links and SDK's to update and remove compile errors for Bubblemod, Battlegrounds, Amxmodx and various old metamod plugins, look in the Sing engine for changes you may need to make.
I have started using the latest Visual Express C++ but have new warnings (Most you can ignore and things compile fine)
I am currently tinkering with the Trinity Mod, but it crashes on level changes but half life looks great till it does.
So get skilled with 2008 version first.
:0 Good luck.
