It sounds like your motherboard bit the bullet or you aren't seating the cards correctly.

Agreed, re-seat everything attached to the board.

That can be anything. It is usually a RAM or CPU problem. Get some new RAM sticks, or just take all of them out, and just keep one in, see what happens.

Next step is CPU. Get a replacement CPU and try that.

Faulty CPU or RAM would force the computer into an infinite reboot cycle, no video meansno output means either the card or the slot are screwed. The lack of a post beep also fits with a fried motherboard scenario, though a screwed cpu is possible (however, extremely unlikely)

I tried with another card and with the onboard connections.

I bought the mobo and the cpu only a few months ago.
It would be awefull if it's that again.

Have you access to another PC to try the vid card and access to another vid card to try on your PC..

OH ok sorry you did that. Mate I'd say it's the MB. If you've tried another vid card and monitor on your PC then chances are the MB has crapped itself.

The only thing I could suggest before returning it is a format, I know it sounds unnecessary but its happened to me and worked after a reinstall.

Unfortunately just choosing to unload old vid drivers isn't what it used to be and often clashes between left over files and new driver files which can be a main issue for faults.

If you know how to reset the bios to default (normally short two jumpers together or there is a button) you could try that, but otherwise it definitely sounds like the motherboard died.

& sin, how is he supposed to format if he can't even get it to post?

Thats funny. I just got an old phenom CPU fried my system because of heavy overclocking. It didn't say anything in the speaker, just didn't get to post.
Also, I tried the RAM thing. It didn't give me a bib either, it just didn't go to post.

Frying your cpu because you overclocked it too high is completely different (It's user error). That said, what are you talking about "didn't give me a bib, it just didn't go to post"? That phrase makes little to no sense, as if it doesn't post then it doesn't beep. and visa-versa unless you have no pc speaker.
