Just looks like the Plugin CFG file in the SourceMod folder needs to be updated when the CVars are changed I think. I am a bit of a newb at understanding sourcemod, so don't take my word for it.

And Darkhand, thanks.

Same.

I lost one afternoon trying to understand why the plugin didn't took th CVAR in my server.cfg.

/cfg/sourcemod/damagesound.cfg were silently generated. >< Damn.

I've added your script to my Hidden:Source server, and configurated the script to it would play the same sound as in quakeIII when you hit someone.

The funny thing is that I saw some players tipping !quake to remove the sound.

thx darkhand for you work. I'm atm very busy but I'll try to find some time this weekend. I already started to add the menu and the other things requested.

Well yeah I forgot to tell that there is a config sry >.<
I'll try to find a way that you can add the commands into your server.cfg...

Hi I'd like to use this plugin inside my Team Fortress 2 server... How should I change the cvar to change the sound of the hit? Tried many things but nothing worked fine

There is a config file within your configs folder (cfg/sourcemod/damagesound.cfg). Change the sm_damagesound_path to something that is within your sounds folder, something like sm_damagesound_path "funsounds/mydamagesound.mp3".

My sound is inside:

/orangebox/tf/sound/quake/

named: "Hit.wav". In the .cfg I've set the cvar:

sm_damagesound_path "quake/hit.wav"

case sensetive? try sm_damagesound_path "quake/Hit.wav" if it still does not work look into the server console and post any errors that have to do with damagesound.

I miswrote (the file is named hit.wav") and I wrote it right in the cvar. Maybe it's a path problem?

I noticed that when I connect to my server, TF2 don't download the hit.wav sound so I think that the problem is in the path

Personally I send files to clients with the "SM File/Folder Downloader and Precacher" (1.4) by SWAT_88, with BZIP.

Get sure that the file in on the server. If it is, get sure that the file is on the client-side. If it is, check the path again

And have a look in your logs, don't you get any errors ?
