well you have installed those packages that come with the CD instalation for OS.
many dont have those charachters and messages wont show, take me for instance

btw can you give me ip of the server you are testing, so i will see for myself if it works correctly

I tested messages with bots on listen server (join ct, add bot to t, kick bot).
If you can't test it that way, then join <removed>

anyways i tested on both protocol 47 and 48 (on a russian server, that has lots of messages writen in russian )
on 47 it doesn't appear properly (tested on 2 PCs) on first was letters with dots over them, on the other was question marks (???)

while on p48 it showed correctly on both


i guess with this is the same. so now the only thing that's left, is the bug to be fixed i hope its fixed like you say
