Hey..

Okey, so ive portforwarded all the required ports for CS,

1200, 27000, 27039, 27015.

And used "PFPORTCHECKER" to see that they are open, and the client says they are successfull open.

And, ive also installed amxmodx to the server without any problems, but the problem is, my server doesnt want to show up in the master server list.. Me and my friends can connect to it by WAN IP, i can also connect to it by LAN, (Both works.)

SV REGION is 3, steamappid is 80.

ive also tried to disable all the plugins, to see that it may have been a plugin who aint installed properly without any results.

All i can give you, is that the server starts up with
Quote:
Setmaster: Unknown command enable
Menu item 18 added to Menus Front-End: "Plugin Cvars" from plugin "pluginmenu.amxx"
Menu item 19 added to Menus Front-End: "Plugin Commands" from plugin "pluginmenu.amxx"
Connection to Steam servers successful.
VAC secure mode is activated.
Please, take notice to these quoted things below before posting.

Quote:
*Players can connect by WAN IP from console.

*All required ports are open without problems.

*Router & PC firewall is disabled.

*DMZ is Off.

*Server shows up in favorite list if you add the server to favorites.

*Amxmod doesnt seem to have anything with this to do.

*HLDSUPDATETOOL is updated to the latest version.
Thank you in advance.

If you're still having trouble, someone finally find the issue and workaround.
https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-b...il/071200.html

Basically, if you have both HLDS and Steam installed on the same computer, HLDS will 'borrow' some of the steam DLLs. This is an issue as you must manually add setmaster in HLDS, but steam does it automatically and disables the command. The workaround so far is to either uninstall steam, or if that is not an option, copy and paste the steam folder somewhere else.

I have this issue as well and am going to see if there's a way to still keep steam functional and get the standalone HLDS to correctly enable setmaster/get added to the server browser.

so, u mean, that i should try to move the steam folder to another path?

i got the standalone Dedicated HLDS server btw,
so, the server is in C:\HLSERVER and steam folder in another directory.

UPDATE:

So, i re-installed the servers yesterday, from scratch, (hldsupdatetool),

one to 1.6, and one to CZ. this is the CZ one i were meaning, but now, when i tried the 1.6 one (who hasnt amxmod installed) it said it was out of date and couldnt list on the masterservers until a restart, so i restarted the server, and the message pop up again
could this be something?

The problem starts when the steam server answers your request. -nomaster parameter removes "your server is out of date" error, but this will bring the exact same result (i.e. no registration in masterserver list).

For the time being use outdated binaries, this should fix the problem.

Use -nomaster ONLY if you don't want console spam with "your server is out of date", this won't register your server on masterserver list. You add this parameter in your starting lines.
e.g.
Code:
hlds.exe -console -game cstrike +maxplayers xx +map de_dust2 +ip xx.xx.xx.x +port xxxxx -nomaster
Alternatively, use those binaries I uploaded and do nothing more.

when i used the "-nomaster" string, it didnt want to open at all, so i tried the binary files, but no change has made.

Exept, now the "setmasters is not avaible" thing is gone,

so, where do i put these setmasters codes, and what codes is it?

How the hell -nomaster parameter can do that? This is impossible, it's just another parameter like -console, -secure and such.

You don't have to put any setmaster manually, steam binaries can do it for you. I downgraded my "test" server from 5408 to 4382 and it worked just fine.

I did this for my Counter-Strike server: Except cstrike, platform, reslists and valve I deleted everything from my HLDS root directory and copied those binaries in the folder.
