let me know if u guys find a working plugin that increases max players to 8 atleast in coop PM me or post here PLEASE THANK YOU my l4dtoolz broke for 4 servers on www.eoreality.net and www.gameservers.com on linux havent found an alternative to getting coop to 8 players since that 1 broke. let me know please thanks!

L4DToolZ works for majority of the servers. If it doesn't work for a specific host, then that's to do with host. Asking a completely new plugin be made for that is asking too much.

Ah weird whats your l4d2 server provider u are using? perhaps i should switch to see if mine would work there. because i tried a fresh install of metamod sourcemod and l4dtoolz the sv_maxplayers and survivor_limit commands dont work.

also if u know any alternatives that WORK to increase maxplayers for coop to atleast 8 players like how u say your l4dtoolz is working let me know if there are any outside of L4DToolZ because i have no idea how mine broke.

He told me to try Linux from NFO servers but I couldn't get one. There's is mainly Windows based. BUT, I tried Linux from www.eoreality.net and www.gameservers.com L4Dtoolz did not work there, it used to for years. but some steam update broke it for me.

This would be an issue with the game its self that broke the functionality of the 2 commands you are trying to run or broke the mod/tool you are trying to use to achieve what you are wanting to do. It would not be an issue with the config file not being read. As stated in your other ticket, those commands do not work on your other server at a different provider. This would indicate the latest update to the game broke how those 2 commands work or broke the mod you were using to run the commands. As this would be an issue with the game its self or with the tool/mod, i do not believe this is something on our end we would be able to fix for you.

there l4d2 servers are linux based, and i why i use linux, is so all the mods i use work. But anyway my point. Does anyone else here, besides me have a problem running Linux L4Dtoolz on Linux servers? Like does their linux l4dtoolz work, and if it does, what server provider are they using that is linux so i can try there and see if mine works there?

Because if it doesnt work there as well, i heavily believe L4DToolZ for Left 4 Dead 2 Linux Servers is broken right now.

OK Found the problem. L4DToolZ works fine under Linux - It was just there was a code string in my server.cfg that was blocking the exec of the L4DToolZ sv_maxplayers and survivor_limit commands.

so I have been reading up somewhere online that servers running L4DToolz and remove the lobby reservation will allow people who you block on steam to still join your server via connect + ip and/or the server browser I was really starting to wonder how this speed hacker kept getting into my server but someone else mentioned about the lobby reservation thing so I googled and found it was related to L4DToolz please can we shed some light on this problem?

Nothing to shed the light on. L4D2 bypasses some of the checks when players try to join. I can confirm that blocked players is one of those checks. It is one of the limitations of l4dtoolz.

Just ban then from server via sourcemod if they are being a nuisense.
