i types in the:
GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
line into my gameinfo file right before the game lines so it looks like this::
{
GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2
}
}
}
but when i run the server, the newly added line goes away and more Game cstrike and Game hl2 lines are added, resulting in no MM running...
this is quite frustrating

chmod a-w gameinfo.txt

or be sure you removed the autoupdate switch from start command and don't use verify_all as option to update server ...

Turn it non-writable (unix command) ... you need ssh or ftp access ... to do so.
