• Players had the option to hear people outside the channel via an option in the menu (but they could never communicate with them unless they were out of the channel)
• Mine didn't work with passwords, it was structured with certain channels as public, and others were private. The public ones were always open to anyone who wanted to join, and the private channels were managed by the first person to join the channel. The only way to enter a private channel with someone in it was to receive an invite from the original user. I used this type of structure over passwords because not all players in the server will know the passwords, and some may want a private channel for their group of friends.
• Ability to invite others to your channel
• Admins had the power to kick users out of certain channels, or move them
• Listed the names of people in the channel next to the channel listing in the menu
• CVar for maximum number of users in a channel
