Having a bit of a discussion with someone about which method is actually better for loading metamod. Yeah it isn't a big deal, but i'd still like to know.

Apparently plugins load better with gameinfo.txt. Apart from the fact that both work, whats the difference?

VDF is preferred. You dont have to worry about gameinfo.txt being overwritten with updates is one of the main reasons.

Only thing VDF lacks is you cannot access functions that are in the startup DLL but most plugins dont need them.

And just to point out, "loads better" is pretty much nonsense. As Crimson said, it's only about the point in time at which it loads.
