When I use the command sm_admin, I get the notorious "[SM] You don't have access blah blah".

I've configured my admin_simple.ini, my admins.ini/admin_groups.ini with KVM, and I've checked to make sure mm and sm are properly installed. The only addons I have are css:rpg and css:dm, and they work fine. sm_who (through rcon) says that I have no permissions even though I appear in my admin config files.

I've seen this problem around the forum but I haven't seen a solution. Can anybody explain why this is happening?

I'd try in SourceMod General, not in the MetaMod: Source section.

You didnt setup your admin stuff right, try looking in the logs folder for error logs and listen to what they have to say.

I recommend you copy the stock admin files (admins_simple.ini, admins.cfg, admin_groups.cfg) from the SM archive you downloaded to addons/sourcemod/configs.

Then, use KVM to create a new admins.cfg file.

Upload the new admins.cfg file to addons/sourcemod/configs.

Restart your server.

Assuming you entered your Steam ID correctly, and set the correct permissions in KVM, you should have access. If you still have command access problems, run sm_dump_admcache and post the file it directs you to, and post your admins.cfg file.
