Hello, I'm working on a game modification project and was wondering about something. I modified the items_game.txt file as well as a few class files like scout-spy.ctx files and am hoping to apply them to a dedicated server for testing. However, I want to apply them so that they're used on the server--but don't affect the client afterward. Basically

Quote:
tf/scripts/items/items_game.txt
This is the standard directory for this file. I want to make it so that clients will receive this file--but after they disconnect, it doesn't remain in their game files changing offline gameplay or show up in their backpack menu.

Is it possible to change the directory for the client and still apply it to the server--or make the file delete itself when the user disconnects?

Cannot be done. Basically people would have to load your modified files to play on a server with those modified files. They would then need to re-load the stock files to play on a stock server.
