Apologies for not getting it to this sooner. SrcDS OSX has been broken for Orange Box games since the SteamPipe update. The main reason for this is that Valve no longer ships a dedicated.dylib binary with the game. With this update, the Orange Box package includes a replacement for this, so be sure it gets placed in the server's bin folder.

What's New?
  • Fixed running servers for Orange Box games (TF2, CS:S, DOD:S, and HL2DM) since the SteamPipe update.
  • Removed -steam option. This is no longer needed with the SteamPipe update.
  • Added support for Garry's Mod on SteamPipe
    • This is now in a separate package. The Orange Box download should no longer be used for this game.
  • Added support for Left 4 Dead 2 Beta (SteamPipe)
  • Added support for Insurgency (standalone game, not the mod)

As usual, downloads are available in the first post.

I'd just like to mention that today's Left 4 Dead 2 update breaks srcds_osx. I've updated the package for this and so all should be well again. I've also removed the download for Left 4 Dead 2 Beta since the new package should work fine with this too.

Also note that because of this update, support for Nuclear Dawn has been moved to a separate download.

Here's yet another update for TF2/DOD:S and Garry's Mod servers.

For TF2/DOD:S, there's now a separate package to download as they have now deviated from the other Orange Box/Source 2009 games (as of the July 10th for TF2 and July 16th for DOD:S).

And for Garry's Mod, this update not only fixes running a server but also fixes the ability to mount extra game content via the cfg/mount.cfg file. (See here for more details.) Also note that this update includes a replacement dedicated.dylib since the default one is no longer being updated. Please be sure it gets placed in the server's bin folder.

Hiya ... Got a problem with CS:S ... Tried to play it after some hiatus playing CS:GO

Auto detecting CPU
Using OSX binary.
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
Failed to find symbols for launcher.dylib
Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Ons 24 Jul 2013 130:00 CEST: Server restart in 10 seconds

- edit -

Maybe I should try updating CS:S through Steam first -.-'

- edit2 -

That worked Ignore the rest!

You should be able to use the same commands and cvars that you'd use on a Windows or Linux server. Set tf_bot_difficulty from 0 to 3 and then use the tf_bot_add command to actually add the bots. And if you want them in game while there are no real players on the server, you'll probably want to set tf_bot_join_after_player to 0.

See this for more details: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Bots
