Alright, so I'm having some lags when I get over 15-20 players on my server and it starts to lag.
Sv lag or what ever it's called.

I was wondering if you could allocate more RAM to the server with a start parameter or increase performance somehow.



CPU: Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-1620 v2 (10M Cache, 3.70 GHz)
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 X86 64 Minimal
Memmory: 8 GB
SSD: 120 GB
Network: 200Mbps

It says on the title the game is csgo.

And the server takes RAM from the operating system when it needs to. Your OS is not choking the server its memory requirements unless you are grinding against the page file with max RAM usage.

I have been having similar problems with the same CPU but when the server hit 40+ players, also im running on 1 gbit network. If you find any solution please type it in here!

Hi,

I dont know how it is working for ubuntu but your CPU scaling. I mean your cpu start with 1.8 GHZ not with 3.7 GHZ.

You have to find a away to get your cpu run on performance. Than it will run on 3.7 GHZ.
Disable swap memory if enabled. If swap memory is enabled than will system try to switch between Ram and harddisk memory. That will choke too.

If you have access to root change task priority to -19. It should be 0 now.
I dont know the commands for ubuntu because i use always centos. But you can trys these command. If works please share result with us here.
//CPU SPEED CHECKEN
grep -E '^model name|^cpu MHz' /proc/cpuinfo
//CHECK CONFIG_HZ
cat /boot/config-`uname -r` | grep HZ

I disabled swap memory,
but about the other things u asked for I am not sure.
