Yeah, the reason it didn't work is because I forgot the OTHER change to the Makefile... certain files are only compiled in a specific game's versions.

This one should actually work.

Did you restart the server?

The formerly missing file is now in the binary; I saw it compiled during the compilation process, plus it appears during the statement that does the final linking (that actually creates the .so file).

Edit: I tested it on my Linux Halloween server and it appears to be working fine. Screenshot.

I didn't restart the server. I used sm exts unload, updated the file and then used sm exts load. I thought that this would be enough. I'll restart the server.

EDIT: Yes, working now. Although I've always thought that exts load and exts unload could be used for updating extensions on a live server without having to restart. My mistake I guess.

If anyone wonders about the screenshot:

I'm equipped with my standard Spy unusuals (Peace Fedora, Green 'fetti Phantom), but the Fedora has the Spectral Spectrum spell on it.
