site: operator
Search a specific site:
Quote:
site:example.org
inurl: operator
Search only for urls containing search term (for example only urls containing "[SOLVED]"):
Quote:
inurl:[SOLVED]
Can be used with - operator (hint: good for excluding useless sites)
Quote:
-inurl:steampowered
"" (double quotes)
Search for exact match:
Quote:
"match me exactly"
- operator
Search for anything NOT containing term (quotes for including spaces or +/- signs or special characters):
Quote:
-"term"
Quote:
-"+term"
Note the colon and space this next one. Results will not include anything with "-term:text" in it. Quotes makes google interpret text literally. Without quotes results will not be what is expected.
Quote:
-"-term:text"
OR
Only return search results for any of more than one exact matches.
Quote:
"match1" OR "match2" OR "match3"
.. operator
Search a number range (x to y)
Quote:
2011..2016

Full example of most of the above:
Search alliedmods forums for threads related to counter-strike source from 2014-2016 not containing the word "help"
Quote:
site:forums.alliedmods.net inurl:"archive" 2014..2016 -"help" "[CSS]"
Google search is extremely powerful for how simple it is to use. It can be very helpful when used properly.

Also, always remember Google will NOT return the same results for different IP addresses, or even different users on the same IP address. Your results will be your own and there is no guarantee someone else will get the same results you do for the exact same search terms.
