Hi everybody. I want to know is there a plugin to install that can make head admin to change the rates of the players? I have installed rates_list but there is no option to change the players rates. There is a lot of players that don't know what is "rate", not even how to change it... CS 1.6

WTF are you talking about???? The players dont know how to change their rates! And thats why the server is lagging...

Some of them, don't know what is "rate", don't know where to write that... thats why i want to change it by myself, OR if there is a plugin to change the players rates after they join the server. I know there was a plugin like that, it was mp_exec i think or something like that...

Changing players settings without their permission isn't allowed.

but only to fix the right rate, not to lag the server... you see one player have only 25 rate... rate 25!!!!!!!

It still isn't allowed. Plus, valve blocked it with cl_filterstuffcmd. The best you can do is kick them.

The server is not lagging because of their rates. If you want them to change their rates then you need to educate them on how to do it. If you give them a good enough reason to do it, they'll update their rates.

There's no reason to change anyone's rate setting because there are sv_maxrate and sv_minrate cvars to force a specific rate range by your server. "rate" client cvar is there so they could set their preferred bandwidth, but servers are allowed to force a specific range using those 2 cvars I mentioned.

I also think that you are misunderstanding what "rate" actually is/does.

First time i hear this, i am playing cs 1.6 for ~15 years and been admin on a lot of servers(and own a couple)... and now this term "slowhacking" first time i hear in my life. I dont play for competition or money, i play for fun.

I am steam player, i dont use hacks cheats etc, but believe me, server lags because of this players with low rates, cl_cmdrates, cl_updaterates... I think the plugin was named "exec" but if its not allowed here, can you tell me some advice, what settings i need to put in server.cfg(or somewhere else) for better lag on the server...

Long time until i own a server, now i buyed again one for me and i forgot what cvar settings i need to write for better latency. For example, sv_unlag 1...

You can force rates using the following server cvars (put them in server.cfg):

sv_minrate
sv_maxrate
sv_minupdaterate
sv_maxupdaterate

It's that simple. No plugin needed.
