[Solved] HL transparent model textures?

I've noticed some models have transparent textures like this:

Does anyone know how to make parts of my model transparent? There wasn't anything on google and in HLSDK's modeling guide. I even tried to decompile and recompile the model. No results... The transparent areas are just blue.

well if you want to make a texture transparent for mapping ( only thing i know)

you should make the transperants spots blue , you need to give it a name that starts with { and then you need to do somthing with the pallet colors ore somthing in wally , i dont know exactly

Finally found it... You have to set the last space of the 8 bit palette to the transparent color and make sure the same color is not already there. After that theres some compiler setting, but it's easier to check 'transparent' in Jed's HLMV under textures tab.

Took me like 6 hours to find since valve-erc is down
