Hello,

Forgive me, I'm a bit rusty on all this stuff. I'm trying to figure out if someone's automatic ban on my server is accurate. Here are the details:

L 05/13/2013 - 01:53:14: [smac_eyetest.smx | 0.8.4.0] (ID: STEAM_0xxxxxx | IP: xx.xxx.xxx.xxx) was banned for reusing old movement commands. CmdNum: 328 PrevCmdNum: 162086 | [104549:104550:104556]
Map: de_cpl_mill | Origin: -448 3744 48 | Angles: -17 -90 0 | Weapon: weapon_usp | Team: 3 | Latency: 75ms

Any chance this could be a false positive or is this pretty definite? I'm being questioned by several people of the legitimacy of this when I'm not sure myself.

That is definitely a legitmate ban.

Thanks for the reply. Could you elaborate a little on the reasons?

Normally, usercmds from the client are sequential (roughly). That user jumped from 162086 all the way down to 328. I'm guessing that the random seed associated with 328 causes weapon spread to be less or some other factor desirable for cheaters.
