I've spent the last 3 days trying to get this working on my own, and have failed miserably. I have rebooted my server, I have remade the .vdf by hand and using the .vdf generator. I have redownloaded and reuploaded metamod over and over, but no matter what I do I can't get it to work.

my metamod.vdf is in the addons root directory, so there should be no problems there.

You need to download Metamod:Source 1.8, which supports L4D2.

If that is what you downloaded, you want to check that "metamod.2.l4d2.so" is in the package and that you uploaded it.

1.8 is what I downloaded, but for some reason it doesn't have the l4d2.so file? downloaded from sourcemm.net. The new one I just downloaded from the same page does contain it though. odd. will try again and see if it works.
