It does, R2 is only supported by x64 and Itanium.

If you don't know Linux, stick with Windows... I also believe Windows Server 2008 R2 is recommended over Server 2003, but I don't know the specifics of that.

I did not know that. Do you know of any tutorials of the steps I need to do to set up the Box if I get it. Any tutorial for people that are barely getting a Dedicated Machine would be nice. I want to get it from NFO Servers. But I thought that if I bought the Box that it would show me a list of all the Game Mods I can put on that Box and I could just press like install.

Then ask for a managed root. In this case your provider does everything you need and gives you a control panel where you can install/delete servers and manage them. Disadvantage: no direct root access to the machine. You allways have to contact them if you want changes.

Debian if you are a game server provider
stable 1000fps can be achieved using kernel optimization

We use Debian for hosting HLDS game server it's a good solution if u want Linux, also I've heard some good things about Ubuntu 12.04 but I've never tried it. If you want to improve your system and get most of it try to recompile your default vanilla kernel. More about kernel compilation and optimization at http://wiki.fragaholics.de/index.php...l_Optimization

Hope I helped!

Best Regards!

CentOS or Fedora.

All the RPM based Linux are excellent for server things.
