This is my "enhanced" version of HLDS crash protection batch file.
It consists of an nice lil' executable with a nice icon that restarts HLDS when it crashes.

Installation:
Just unpack the archive in the folder where hlds.exe is located, ussualy "C:\HLDS" and send a shortcut of hlds_launcher.exe to the desktop
Optional edit the "launcher.ini" file to fit your needs

Features:
It beeps from MoBo buzzer when HLDS crashes or choose an option
It has a delay of 10 seconds before restarting HLDS after crash, time within the user can manualy select Y/N options, otherwise it will autoselect answer NO and the server will be restarted.
It deletes minidump files on server crash if any (some servers have this issue)
It has a configuration file that comes with it so you can "personalize" your server startup.
Options are:
- VAC: secure/insecure
- LANtype: 0/1
- Port: whatever port you wish...
- maxplayers: 1~32
- StartMap: any map you wish...
- DeleteMDMP files: Y/N
I didn't include hostname because I didn't find this option usefull (ussualy the "server.cfg" first line is "hostname")

I don't think that I need to explain the config options because the ".ini" config file has self explainatory comments on each command and I'm sure everyone knows them allready as they're basic hlds params.

Hope that someone will find it usefull

PS: Don't be scared because it's an ".exe" file. It's just a compiled batch file.

OK removed rar, added as zip (I don't know what crossed to my mind when I uploaded as rar...)

also MDMP = short name for MINIDUMPS, just like 11101010 explained

What original poster ? Do you mean the person who made the compiler ?
If so, what has the compiler to do with the "source code" ?
You probably understand it wrong... the .exe compiler is a program that converts "source code" into executables...
So yes, basicaly I didn't do the .exe file, the compiler did it for me, same like amxx compiler converts sma "source code" into amxx plugins...

If you want the compiler just say so and will post the compiler too.

What's the point in compiling a batch file in the first place?
