Okay so I have this issue.

I run a TF2 Jump server and I use a 'default' sv_downloadurl for jump servers that has all the official maps.

However, I have NO access to what's inside this URL, I just use it as a fastDL for my players to download the maps.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to make people be able to download a say, models/decals/custom/test.vtf from the SERVER, not the fastDL URL.

I tried simply adding the files to the server and when I joined it, while loading, I even got the custom decals to load but when in-game, it's as if nothing was there. And it wasn't. I browsed to my TF2 directory (models/decals/) and there was no custom folder nor custom decal in there, despite having downloaded it when I joined the server.

Is something wrong with my server.cfg file? Maybe a cvar I should change? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

Make sure sv_allowdownload is set to 1.

nop, once you enable fastdl aka give a sv_downloadurl, everything has to be mirrored

so if you want them to dl your test.vtf (and actually appear in gamedir), you have to either empty the sv dl url or upload the model on the fastdl server yourself (are you using openfastdl.net btw? )
