yep, changes dynamically in TF2, though it doesn't work too well in Tf2, only objects like players, and dispensers, and stuff get effected, the rest of the map stays fully lit so it looks weird.

but I like the plugin and will still use it cause i have a fun server that is messed up and i dont care if the light looks weird lol

Neato! TF2 must update it automagically. Anyway, its just a wrapper around an engine function, so I am not responsible for how it works across mods.

The reason numbers use # before them is to distinguish them from letters, which is the more modular way to alter lights.

Raydan: No, sorry, unless you can make a hack module for clients.

FunTF2Server: No need to get pissy!

Fixed the first poast.

so how would you use this to make an entire map appear dark?

your description says candles, flicker, etc..

how would you take lets say dust 2 for example, and set it so it is at night with out having to make players download a night version of the map?

on a scale of 1 - 10, i want to see dust 2 at about a 8.5 on darkness, can you help?

Use stripper:source to change the sky of dust2 to a night sky, then use this plugin to change the lighting of the level.

Now, you have a fully night version of dust2 without clients having to download anything extra

what would you put into stripper to get it to do that?

i know you can add and remove entities with it, but the sky?

look in the worldspawn entity, and change the value "skyname" I believe it is.

and heres a list of skies in the games, if this is for cs:source you can use css skies or hl2 skies but the other skies for other games obviously won't show up in css
