Bots share stats because they have a common Steam ID - "BOT". You can set the csstats_rankbots cvar to 0 to not rank them at all.
Also when you delete the stats file or edit it with WinCSX, is the server running? Or do you do it while the server is offline?

csstats_pause should be working, I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Do you pause it mid-round or at the round start?
Is there any way I can query if the warmup is running from a plugin? Like a native or a cvar? I might have an idea.

edit: csstats_pause does not work

My initial post:
Quote:
I understand that bots have the same ID and that this might be the reason that they share score.
But when I tried csstats_pause with players some of them got really strange rank stats.
Someone who only got 10 kills had 35 in /top15.

BUT! Now when I think about it I belive I simply deleted the csstats.dat file then.
I thought it would create a new empty one then, but it did not.

After that, I realized this might be the problem and I cleared a csstats file on my windows server using WinCSX and transferred it to my linux server (while it was running.)
And then I tested with bots and got the result you see in the screenshots.

This convinced me that the "bug" was still there.
But maybe the issue was the missing csstats.dat file first, and then the bot issue was related to what you just said.
That they share ID, I thought these two were related.

I have to do further testing like this:
Stop the server.
Clear csstats.dat file
Start the server.
Test with real players.

I will get back to you with the results.
Also, I have a cvar that is always turned off during warmup. "gn_countscore 0"

There's csstats_reset 1 cvar which will reset stats on mapchange, you don't have to stop the server.

Aw crap, seems like the bug is still present when testing with real players.

These screenshots were taken at the same time.

I told you so. There is no way. You must use different stats plugin which doesnt use csstats aka build in stats counter.
