The only reason I play consoles is because the game isn't available on my computer. If they had all the console games available for computer I would not even have an Xbox360. That's the only thing that keeps consoles alive is the exclusivity of the games they offer.

The only trouble with console is that the games u get are always the same
MEtal gear solid was originaly advertised saying "4 different game styles!"
What they failed to tell us was that these game styles were: Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme
Hardly game styles eh?
They all have the same plotline
My point is that online games are always different
You get different ppl playing, different styles (proper styles not fake MGS styles)
And ppl are always introducing new addons for the games E.g. amxmodx and other mods to change gameplay

My point is that consoles have only just gone to online gaming, so we got a while longer to wait before any decent games come out

I believe its all about the money! There are computers which can do basically everything consoles can and more. Money hungry people!

I could care less about consoles. The only time I play them is when I'm at a friend's house and most of them either don't have a PC or don't use their PC for gaming.

I don't like consoles either. They don't sound friendly as a dev platform (for which licensing is necessary) and I find the controls primitive and inflexible. PCs seem better at expressing the full range of gaming potential wrt FPSes and typical top-down games like RPGs or RTSes. Exceptions seem to be games that require larger screens (like racing games or that smash brothers game), or ones that require specialized inputs (like Rock Band/Guitar Hero or any of the odd avenues the Wii has explored).

Gabe's dislike for them is well known, I imagine it's the one thing he refuses to devour immediately.
