Is it possible to change the hitbox / bounding box / collision box of the players?
(So that they can fit into smaller areas in maps.)

Are there any example plugins that can do this?

I fear that is not possible due to engine limitations. We had a short similar discussion a year ago, and the answer is pretty much no. https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=322812

Besides player AbsBox, the player "camera" entity(ViewOfs) must also be adjusted in order to avoid collisions.
