Valve already plans on making a protocol change in the future, just wait for them to make it

Even I couldn't found any protocol update info on Valve page. May be I missed some mails from Alfred.

If Valve updates to new protocol all non steam servers will failed to accept new Steam clients that will be awesome - End of Non steam.

Well i mentioned to alfred change base of engine to prevent no-steams, make servers controlled by managing center, but its still pointless couse someone will patch libraries if this come, theres no way to protect code even if its compiled, just like metamod, amxx based on hooks, better idea would be make code secure just like ioncube works, server must be always connected to internet in order to work becouse of code in hashes exchange, not much people could decrypt custom hashes and what about sha1,rsa-2048 this could be used also. The another way i discovered just like csnline works(modified goldsrc cs client for asia content) They only let host people servers on theyr own hardware, i don't really know about now it was 2010 when i expierenced it.
