http://dackz.net/misc/code/serverplugin_tempent/

The plugin stops players from executing the "te" command which can spawn temporary entities on the server and crash the server. (Temporary entities are those skulls, rings, purple checkered boxes, et cetera.)

It's fairly straightforward and the relevant code is on the page. Binaries for both Windows and Linux are there as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Valve released a fix fairly soon, as just adding the FCVAR_CHEAT flag to the command couldn't be that hard, but this should work meanwhile.

Saw this for the first time today. It was pretty trippy at first, but got old really quick. Without knowing the fix or who was causing the problem, I had to ban a lot of people. I eventually got the right person (I think). I'm hoping this fixes the problem and we won't see this again.

Thanks a lot!

can I add a command into the server.cfg to have this load automatically for my windows server? Or do I have to manually load it via the console?

GJ!

If you want to put in the addons dir where all the other plugins are going and have it auto-load you need to create a vdf file also..

Here's mine:

serverplugin_tempent.vdf

Code:
"Plugin"
{
        "file"  "../cstrike/addons/serverplugin_tempent"
}
copy the dll/so into the cstrike/addons dir then create the serverplugin_tempent.vdf file IN the addons dir. Restart server and vola!
