Silent Witness & I are working on a java applet that shows server details & player list in real time,needs nothing on server & so will work on any server,for cs1.6 & source

This will make server admin a lot simpler because it will be all web based
not sure if others are working on anything like this

just add server ip & port ,
as you will see its very basic yet but trying to get foundations right before the nice fancy stuff.
this is currently being reworked to allow rcon access, & all web based too.so anything you can do on server with rcon (including many plugin commands) you should be able to do with this, including adding buttons later next to player list to kick/ban etc.

Hi,
I'm working on a Java API for talking to and working with CS servers. The link you've been given takes you to a servlet that is using my first attempt.

I'm now working on JCon2 ( hopefully finish porting the basic functionality this afternoon ) which is far more robust and includes the ability to use rcon commands ( as well as AMX for CS 1.6 ).

The API will work with any Java based technology such as Applets ( with the proper security permissions ), servlets, JSP or proper applications.

Hopefully someone will find a use for it

At the moment you can go to this URL :

http://core.peteslan.net:8080/jcon/

to view the status of a given server. If you copy the URL for it, you can include this in other pages ( such as with an include() statement in PHP ) to pull the latest server status information whenever someone views your site.


When the API is more complete, admins will also ( if they so wish ) be able to kick, ban and do other admin style tasks. This is more to prove the API is a sound concept - but if people use it, so much the better

Also hoping to add .css suport so that people can customise the look of the table it returns. Is that something people would use?

I'm working on something similar at http://www.si-ka.net/serverstats/ except I use qstat to query servers, mysql and rrd as database backends.

after reading your thread I just noticed that my custom .css solution is way to complicated (and only needed for a <iframe> integration of the data into a website).
