This actually did not work for me the first time when I tried it last night, but this afternoon I restarted my servers using the same startup switch (-vacbeta) and sv_secure 1 in autoexec.cfg and it's working perfectly.

Just a quick point and probably not worth worrying about but:

If VAC2 is indeed still beta and thereofre not working correctly yet and you guys are enabling it. Isn't there a danger that you will be banning people who are not actually cheating due to bugs in VAC2?

Anyways, I have enabled the message (sv_secure) but not the beta itself.

I think beta means not fully functional here. Not all kind of cheats are detected. I hope at least

Lets face it valves testing record prior to product release is abysmal. Things that they have broken in the past dont seem to get into their test specifications for future release testing, as they seem to re-appear in the future.

Any good software testers ALWAYS retest for past mistakes (and mistakes can happen).

So when you combine the mistakes can happen to anyone with their poor record of testing how confident should we be in who VAC2 will ban, or not, as the case may be :s

a mattie event mod cfg or a standard valve cfg, i dont have matties events at the mo, just mani and Xad stats and want to try out vac2
