I have several custom maps on my Win Vista DS. However, I can't seem to get the computer a Win 7 sys, that I use to Admin and play on, to reconize any of the addon maps in any mode. I can see and select the maps normally as Admin, but the Win 7 computer when i try to play a selected custom map wants me to download it from l4d2maps.com. This is very strange? Do I need to place the maps somewhere else now that SteamCMD is the new thinggy? Please Help. DBD...

Where did you put the custom maps on your client?
Usually you put the vpk file in the addons folder of your L4D2 installation

SOLVED. Using the Steam My Games Menu. I deleted L4D2 from the Win 7 system, and reinstalled it. All my custom addon maps like Helms and Goldeneye4dead now show up and I can play them. The Win Vista DS was working ok. CSS that also now uses SteamCMD. To use custom stuff in CSS one must make a special custon folder to put add-on content it the game. I thought L4D2 had started using same. Thank's for you help. DBD SOLVED
