ive been able to add to saxton hale and is fine (run this on windows) but for freak fortress, im stuck. Run just Linux with FF2 and no matter what I compile now, I get bosses flat on back and other broken issues. Even if I compile the last known good compile of v1 that compiled before and ran OK (still running that) if I try to compile now, it compiles OK, but doesn't run the gamemod right ..no idea why. Using latest version of items

also get the 1rst round boss weird behavior. No idea what to do

Forgot to add here that 1.9.0 will have the new festives whitelisted, but it is relatively easy to add (as dikkid, BBG_Theory, friagram, and others showed) if you're not interested in trying the betas or if you're impatient.
