I downloaded metamod 1.8.2 . I install all, i creater .vdf file. But when i type in server console: meta list , server type unknow command "meta".
Who can help me.

First add your rcon password to your console.
rcon_password yourpassword

Then try:
rcon meta list

Your metamod.vdf file is in the cstrike/addons map?

Opps I forgot that. But now i have bigger problem when i add metamod.vdf file,
and when i start server will crashed and started again then crashed .
I remove all file from ADDONS folder. Then i put metamod folder and metamod.vdf file in addons. When i started, again crashes Can u help me?

EDITED!! Crash problem resolved!

!!!! CRASH FIX = Delete all .dll files where srcds.exe: D:\your_new_css_server\orangebox\vstdlib.dll, vstdlib_s.dll, tier0.dll and etc.

Sourcemod 1.3.3, Metamod 1.8.2 Working so good on windows 7.

Hi, I ask now for the first time here.
The question is about metamod, causing enormous problems there, say the server crashes every 2 minutes from where no logs is something, until I found the metamod-fatal.log, with hundreds of such entries:
L 07/05/2010 - 20:07:46: Received request interface too early: ISmmPlugin
L 07/05/2010 - 20:09:29: Received request interface too early: ISmmPlugin
L 07/05/2010 - 20:10:20: Received request interface too early: ISmmPlugin

Now my Question: What should i DO ?

I also have a problem getting metamod source to work.
(My main goal is to succesfully install THC.)

Yesterday I downloaded CSS via steam. After that, I downloaded and extracted metamod source 1.8.3 like it is shown in the install-tutorial at sourcemm.net:

"steamapps\*myaccount*\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\addons\metamod"

downloaded sourcemod and extracted it to the right place:

"steamapps\*myaccount*\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\addons\sourcemod" and cfg\sourcemod"

of course I also generated the vdf-file which contains this:

"Plugin"
{
"file" "../Counter-Strike Source/addons/metamod/bin/server"
}

I tried using backslashes and also inserted "cstrike" between "Counter-Strike Source/" and "/addons".

I placed the vdf-file here:

"steamapps\*myaccount*\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\addons"

the addons-folder looks like that:

metamod
sourcemod
metamod.vdf


Doesn't matter what I do, when I start CSS, the console shows the following:

"can't find ../Counter-Strike Source/addons/metamod/bin/server.dll"(any path I write in the metamod.vdf)"

But the server.dll is exactly at this place!
meta (list)-command and sm-command do not work either.
unknown command "meta"/"sm" is what it shows me.

If I type in RCON it says:

socket connection failed (WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL)
unable to connect to remote server (0.0.0.0:0)


furthermore the console shows things like that:

unknown command "cl_thirdperson" and lots of "can't use cheat svar bla bla"

So, nothing works for me. Always the issue shown above.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

I'm using windows 7
