Can you make a link to the laptop you're talking about? I was hunting around on newegg for one better, but I couldn't find any with GPUs better than an 8700m. I'm not sure if they even make 8800 gts mobile GPUs? Anyways here is the link to a laptop I found, let me know what you think.

If you're willing to spend 13 hundred on one, the laptop that over_mind linked to is high-end. It has a large HDD, quality graphics card, large screen, 2GB memory, and a solid CPU.

Try changing the HDD from 5400 to 7200.
