They are different engines, it will load on all OrangeBox-Valve games fine, keeping in mind what was said above.

Seems extremely complex and from the describetion ive no idear what it does, im looking to unlock asw_marine_max_resources cvar in Alien Swarm without the need for clients to do anything to join as the 6th and above slot, would this help?

Honestly, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

First all, Alien Swarm is a different engine, and while I haven't tested it, others have, and they've said it doesn't work... maybe recompiling it might, but I don't know if asherkin (or anyone else) has the time/patience to muck around with another engine.

Second of all, what does asw_marine_max_resources do? I assume it increases the player count ... that's not what this plugin does. This plugin reads information from steam (via steamworks). It does not change console variables.

Loads when compiled against L4D2 branch, but crashes the server.
Will probably work when compiled against a Swarm branch (as soon as there's one)

When you say lost connection to steam servers does that include the items server? I would love for it to tell people when the items server is down and its the servers fault not the client. Sometimes the client will blame it on the server when in fact its the client not connecting.

I'm finding that if you call something such as steamgroup status on a player who's set to offline on steamcommunity, they'll crash. I'm getting this with anyone set to offline when they join my server and my plugin checks for their group status to give them certain permissions.
