I dunno why i can never get the updater to work

Do you know which MySQL version you are running? It seems there was a bug with that that was resolved in MySQL 4.1.16. I don't know what else it can be, I can not get that query to fail on my machine.

im not sure my gsp is hosting sourcebans on their mysql cause the normal hosting is to restricted.

hey should i just try having them back up the database then just install newest version and have them restore the database? will this even work?

No Backing up and Re-loading will not work becuase the up date changes table layouts to the new version...

I hate to say it because it is a pain but what i would do is get a copy of all the bans threw the game server and then upgrade and re-import... if it is causeing major issues... i am not sure as to why it will not update for you except the touhgt that you do not have the right permissions to the SQL database and or website... check thoes and make shure you have wright accsess to the appropriate files...

what web hosting are you useing and also what GSP are you useing... i am useing hostmonster with a Dedicated IP this is needed to allow remote connections to come into the SQL database...

if you would like i have the band witdth and the space i am sure we could work something out so that you can host your SB's off our site if absolutly neccesary... you can pm me if you would like to talk about it.... but it is a option if all else fails...

Well this was the probelm... is that the update program was nbot workign for him

You could try it marrr, I think it would work as the new fields would just have their default values. Just make sure you have a files backup too so you can go back if it doesn't work.

ok got another one for you guys....

I noticed that the update said that there was a new thing that the only ppl that get perm ban are the ppl who have unban rights on the server....

I am not getting this i have no rights to perm ban... and i have the Z right to the server meening all rights... please help am i missing a command or somehting???

I, knowing PHP, overrode the stops and was able to upgrade NS's database.

Ok is tehre any other themes for Sourcebans... other than the Dark Theme....

My web is the-enforcers.net and i would like SB theme to have same colors....
