I run a hosted dedicated server & the only way I was able to get it to run & not have it only available as a Lan server was to load Steam. Once Steam was loaded the dedicated server stopped with the "Lan only" message & was accessible. I am hoping that an update will fix this.

So far I've had no problems running Steam ds and hldsupdatetool on the same machine as client.

I've just tried using HLDS Update Tool to create a server, but that didn't work either :/ If I try to run it using the srcds console, it just shows that steam is running and will run in -insecure mode but no Sourcemod is in it. If I try to add the shortcut to steam and start it that way, no Sourcemod is in it either.

haha I fixed it! It turned out that I had to use older versions of Sourcemod and Metamod: Source for some reason......newer ones don't work
