Few weeks back, I purchased Counter-Strike 1 Anthology which includes CS1.6 too. And i know this may sound silly but I do not know how to find steam servers. Is it located in Internet or in LAN? I went to a server in the Internet section and I asked them whether if it is a steam server. One of said it isn't steam. How and where can I find steam servers?

use counter-strike game serverbrowser..if not working.
you also can use steam serverbrowser, right-click on tray icon and click server..

Erm...Need I join a group to see their servers or something? Cause I really can't see the steam servers. The LAN is empty. The Internet are non-steam. And when I create my own server..I can see mine at LAN.

Have you installed steam? If you have you shall see steam servers. Theres nothing saying steam or non-steam. All online servers are on the tab internet

Indeed I did install Steam. Even bought and downloaded it from the Steam console.

If you are using Steam, then all server you see will be Steam servers.

The funny thing is that Yami stated that both LAN and Internet have them...whereas theres none in my LAN and the Internet ones are non-steam I suppose.

You will get LAN servers only if some one hosted it on your Home/Office Network.

NOT all Internet Servers are non-steams, You have to use STEAM Browser to get the list of STEAM Servers.
