What is a Standalone server?

One that stands by itself, or in other words a dedicated server, or in other words a server where you do not have to play on it to keep the server running.

There are three types of servers.

Listen Server: This server is created when you select "New Game" in your particular MOD.
Dedicated Server: This is a Steam application that runs a server (with only a console) so people can connect to it. This does not require running the actual game.
Standalone Dedicated Server: Runs on it's own without Steam or the game running but requires the connecting client to be using Steam.

Standalone server IS HLDS
