Yeah it works with downtown and no l4dtoolz for some reason.

Yes I'm doing that right now but I was curious why l4dtoolz would give a crash on too many entities and downtown doesn't while both don't have anything to do with the number of entities.

Thanks for the tip with left4downtown playerslot version.
I got the "ED_Alloc: no free edicts" error too with two custom campaigns: "Drop Dead Gorges (first map)" and "Dead Before Dawn 2 DC (third map)"
Without l4dtoolz the error was gone.
I used the files from https://forums.alliedmods.net/showpo...&postcount=573 and https://forums.alliedmods.net/showpo...&postcount=574
and it seems to work so far.
Need to wait for more players to check if 10 slots are really working (at least 10 is displayed).

It is 100%, your problem is very different from mine though. If I run without l4dtoolz and use downtown player slots everything is fine. If I use no plugins at all and only l4dtoolz custom campaigns are still crashing and exactly on the same maps as alBert2000 is referring to.

Confirmed now. Had 9/10 on one of the servers and everything is fine so far.

Update:
Just wanted to add one drawback when using left4downtown playerslots instead of l4dtoolz.
The number of max players in the in-game steam group server list is not correctly shown.
I have configured 10 but only 8 is shown (and more than 8 may only connect via non steam group like e.g. "connect IP:port" or via game browser?)
Other tools like HLSW correctly show 10 players max.
