why do some server owners use high ping kicker plugins ? i mean really why how does the plugin benefit the server on that witch it kicks players with high ping ?

do players with high ping lag the server in anyway ?
is it bad to have players with high ping on the server ?

this is not a joke question i really want to know why i never used high ping kicker plugin ever so should i use one ?

I remember in srcds, if one player had high latency on server, it did affect to other players also :/

Yes, you are right vase070, if one person has high ping it increases the server latency causing the server to lag. This lags other players' gameplay. So, you know, people use it

That is not true. Other players on the server will act just like normal. You might have issues shooting/hitting the lagging player but that doesn't mean that you are lagging.

That sounds so wrong. The rate/time delay in which you send or receive packets of data has absolutely no bearing on the server's performance or connection.

One use of high ping kickers is to dispose of laggy players that affect general gameplay performance (balance/fairness, especially since lag compensation can sometimes give you an advantage).

Well said, I think this is main the purpose/picture for High Ping Kickers. Some times advantage to the laggy folks, some times to the good ping guys.
Summarizing, not always a fair game with laggy folks playing.
