i havent heard any follow up on this crashing in l4d on windows, can anyone confirm that its working now?

Hi,

I have this script working on 3 of my 4 servers. I am using it to disable the <player> has joined the game message. However, on my ZombieMod server when I load this and try to join the game it doesn't let me join and times out the server for a few seconds.

However, if I disable ZombieMod it works perfectly. I am running the newest version of ZombieMod from here:

Any ideas on why this maybe happening?

These are all CS:S server by the way.

I imagine zombiemod is hooking the same event i am using to suppress the join message and this caused them to be incompatible.
Im no expert on what is going on under the hood at this level, but perhaps since i am blocking the message then firing it again, zombiemod does not recieve the message when it is expecting it and blocks the player connection.

Perhaps a sourcemod dev could shed some possible light on this? The event is 'player_connect'

Hello, Great plug in! How do you get it to have just the country of the player and not the ip and steam id?

its all in the OP - edit the addons/sourcemod/data/cannounce_settings.txt file

sm has no api to get this information, so im assuming the geoip file does not contain it.
