Hi everyone.

I'm experiencing a problem on my community servers. Players randomly crash while server changes the map. I've been contacting another community managers and they reported the same problem. I'm trying to find solutions but until now nothing works. Here is our big evidence: The crash happens right after the client downloads the map and starts to decompress the bz2 file. I could see it myself many times. Would be so interesting if someone already experienced this and have a solution. Also any suggestion to solve this problem will be welcome. I see this output in server log: "Player timed out" (client game crashes completely without print any error)

Are you using fastdl for the players to dl maps or just purely workshop maps? You need to add the line mentioned above if you're using fastdl in order to there to be no limit for download. Valve automatically limits server downloads to about 200mb.

I also wouldn't play too much with sv_pure as you can ultimately allow hackers to change/edit files for their own and in return sometimes make walls invisible. [Read more]

No, we are running zombie mod, zombie escape and surf maps. (community only 0 workshop maps)

The average size of our maps is way below csgo stupid compression-decompression limit (150MB) but I'll give a try thanks. We are using sv_pure 0 already too.

Yes we are using only Fastdl and community maps. So the maximum will be no matter what 200MB decompressed?

Basically the client game closes completely. Is there a log in somewhere at steam folder? Also today I could notice that it happens when the player joins normally (without downloading things)

I'll make a deep desiccation in the servers now. First I need to be sure that isn't nothing SM related like plugins and etc. I'll post here the results along this next week. I got 160 client timed outs in 2 servers in less than 24 hours. I have a small community with 400 daily connects so you may have an idea how I'm feeling now. It's to frustrating.
