Hi there, I'm new to installing plugins. We have a CZ server with amxx, and a few plugins already. I was trying to install the empty server plugin
http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=52535
and the ninja mod plugin
http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=157085
But i've never done it before. I uploaded the .amxx files into czero/addons/amxmodx/configs/plugins folder, and added them to the .ini file. I restart server, and try to adjust the given cvars in console with no confirmation of the change. Tried to do the amx_ninjaon 1 command and it said not valid or something. I pulled up the pause plugins menu on amxmodx menu, could find neither ninj or empty server, but the very last two in the list were "unknown" and had a status of "error". Is there anything blatantly obvious that a noob like me is missing?

did amx_plugins and it said "bad load." I loaded them correctly
"i believe." could it be that it's not compiling right? I read the posts on one of them and they were having problems. Or that its for an earlier version of AMXX? We have the newest version. Ugh I just need to know if it's operator error, or somethings fucked up with the plugin/compiling/etc.

Invalid Plugin
This occurs when the plugin is compiled in a newer version of AMXX than that in which you're trying to use it. The usual cause is running a server with an older version of AMXX and then using a plugin you downloaded by clicking on the "Get Plugin" link in a plugin's thread (the "Get Plugin" link always compiles using the latest version of AMXX).

well my friend who did most the loading of the other plugins said that we have the latest version of amx. The latest is 1.6 or something, right? Anywyas, how do I find out what version I have, and where do I go to compile the plugin in that version?

Thanks in advance

If you would have answered my question, we could have told you what version you were running. However, you didn't so I'm going to have you search for your answer on this page: http://www.amxmodx.org/doc/source/commands/index.htm

To find out how to compile plugins using your current version of AMXX, read: http://www.amxmodx.org/doc/source/plugins/index.htm

However, I'd recommend you upgrade to the latest version of AMXX instead of compiling the plugins in an earlier version. Each version of AMXX fixes more bugs and adds more features.
